Official Plans for viewing the eclipse from Tellico Plains

Standing in the Shadow of the Moon
in Tellico Plains, TN

All events will take place behind the Charles Hall Museum and the Cherohala Skyway Visitor Center located at 225 Cherohala Skyway, Tellico Plains, TN 37385

August 19th:  noon-9:00pm

SongFarmers of Tellico Plains will be playing music on the grounds, Spaced-themed movies will be playing in the Charles Hall Museum as well as the Cherohala Visitor Center from noon until 8:00pm. Starry Night in Tellico Plains#Milky Way Star Party will take place between 8:00pm and 10:00pm. Bring chairs, binoculars, telescope if desired - and enjoy!

August 20th:  9:00- 5:00

Star themed videos will be shown throughout the day.

August 21st:  7:00am until 5:00pm

A southern view of the sky will provide an excellent view of the eclipse. Please bring chairs, sunscreen, drinks, and ECLIPSE VIEWING GLASSES while supplies last they will be available to purchase.

McKee promotions will start the Eclipse Party with star themed music, Cherokee Story Teller will entertain with traditional and historical Cherokee stories about the Milky Way and the Cherokees connection with the sun, moon, and the stars.
