The 2017 Great American Total Solar Eclipse is an incredible and rare cosmic wonder coming straight through the heart of the United States of America, and specifically through our wonderful Nebraska. Hastings, Nebraska is proud to announce our First Annual 2017 SolFest. From Friday, August 18, 2017 through Monday, August 21, 2017, SolFest is a weekend-long festival that is featuring everything from a nationally-known guest speaker presenting his expertise regarding the total solar eclipse and space at our SolFest Gala, incredibly talented and local musicians performing at our incredible venue, Brickyard Park, an Art & SolFest event happening in our Downtown that will showcase local artists, and of course, some of the most wide open places to view the solar eclipse.

Come join us for a weekend full of music, art, beer, loved ones, laughter, and memories. This is an event you don’t want to miss, because you may never experience anything quite like this ever again. The dates for our events are as follows:

Friday, August 18, 2017: SolFest Gala – “While all the most exciting details about our guest speaker, venue, time, entertainment, and items to purchase are yet to come, we can tell you this is a Gala will be full of dazzle. Join the SolFest community to be the first to find out about the details of this event. Tickets will are limited.”

Saturday, August 19, 2017: SolFest Music Festival – “SolFest is beyond excited to welcome some LIVE music on Saturday at our historic Brickyard Park. This music festival will play host to some of the most delicious, local food vendors, a beer garden, over-sized games for all to play, and thousands of people listening to amazing musicians under the beautiful Nebraska sky.

Details on the musician, time, ticket pricing, parking, rules and guidelines, etc. will be coming. Join the SolFest community to stay updated on these details. 

There will be limited tickets to this event, and you don’t want to miss out.”

Sunday, August 20, 2017: Art & SolFest – “Sunday, SolFest is welcoming a new and refreshing Downtown art festival that we are calling, Art & SolFest. It will feature some of Nebraska’s best and most talented artists showcasing and selling their amazing work. This event will also feature food vendors, interactive art experiences for kids and adults, and various high-quality art pieces to purchase.

Monday, August 21, 2017: Solar Eclipse Viewing – “What you’ve all been waiting for: The viewing of the total solar eclipse! We will have a large, public, safe and quiet place to view the eclipse, with glasses for sale for safe viewing.”
