Official Plans for viewing the eclipse from Harrison

ECLIPSE IN HARRISON!

Activities in Harrison for the “Eclipse 2017” on Saturday, August 20, 2017 will be a special “Longhorn” Burger and chips served at the Longhorn Bar on 168 Main Street.  There will be Liquor, Beer, Wine, non-alcohol beverages, snacks, juice, pop and water available.  The Longhorn Bar hours are 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. The Longhorn Bar will also be open for business on Monday, August 21, 2017 with the same specials available.  Hours will be 10:000 a.m. to 1:00 am. There will be sitting space inside and outside for your comfort.

    Local businesses in Harrison will be open for your convenience.  Lotton’s Repair Service will be open with fuel and repair services;  D & S Market (Grocery Store); Whiteaker’s Clothing; Herren Brother True Value; Village Barn Café; United States Post Office; ATM Machines; Sioux County Museum; Historical Harrison House; Historical Courthouse; Swimming Pool; Horse Shoes;  Gilbert Baker Recreational site and Sow Belly Canyon in the Pine Ridge, as well as many other sites to see and visit in the beautiful “Top Town” of Nebraska.

     Vendors will be available on 2nd Street on both Sunday, August 20, 2017 and Monday, August 21, 2017….with a wide variety of items for sale. Hours will be 10:00 a.m. on both mornings…..something for everyone!

     Camping and tenting spaces will be available with No hookups. There will also be house/rooms available for rent.

     Water and port-a-potty’s will be available throughout Harrison, as well as the great western hospitality of welcoming you to our town.
